The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is an important piece of legislation that is designed to strengthen and unify data protection laws for all individuals within the European Union. The regulation will become effective and enforceable on the May 25, 2018.
The purpose of this page is to set out for our customers how YouScan is approaching the GDPR and data privacy. If you have any questions that are not answered on this page, please get in touch with your customer manager.
Does the GDPR apply to YouScan`s services? – The GDPR applies to the processing of personal data. Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. YouScan offers a variety of services, each of which requires a different analysis under the GDPR.
Does YouScan comply with the GDPR? – Yes.
YouScan dedicated internal resources to the GDPR well before the deadline. We did this because we value our customers (and their customers) rights to privacy. Compliance with and to international law and regulations are critical to us.
What is the legal basis on which YouScan processes personal data for its Analytics Services? – The primary legal basis on which YouScan processes personal data when performing the Analytics Services is the legitimate interests of the data controller. This legal basis requires a balancing of the legitimate interests of the data controller with the benefits or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which need the protection of personal data. The data that YouScan processes from Services are all publicly available – and made available – by the particular social media author him or herself. YouScan therefore believes that the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of data subjects are not prejudiced or overridden in the context of its processing of social media data that is (1) publicly available and (2) can be made private at anytime by the social media author him or herself. The social media authors have significant levels of control over the availability of their personal data on the underlying websites, including (e.g.) setting their Twitter account to private.

This Policy describes the principles for the collection and use of personal data provided by the Users of the Service during registration (creating an account).
The provisions of this policy have been prepared in accordance with the Federal Law of the Russian Federation "On Personal Data" and the provisions of this Federal Law are used in the part not regulated by this agreement.
This Policy applies to all information that YUSKAN Rus LLC (the legal owner of the YouScan service (Yuskan) is legally entitled to) and / or its affiliates can receive about the User while using the Service.
Use of the YouScan Service (Yuskan) means the User's unconditional consent to this Policy and the terms of processing of his personal information specified therein; In case of disagreement with these conditions, the User must refuse to use the Service.

The owner of the Service reasonably assumes that the User provides reliable and sufficient personal information on the issues offered in the registration form and maintains this information up to date. The consequences of providing inaccurate information are defined in the User Agreement of the YouScan Service (Yuskan).
Service YouScan (Yuskan) uses the User's personal data for several purposes:
Service YouScan (Yuskan) stores personal information of Users in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation on personal data.
In respect of the User's personal information, its confidentiality remains, except for cases of voluntary provision by the User of information about himself for general access. When using the Service, the User agrees that a certain part of his personal information becomes publicly available.
Service YouScan (Yuskan) has the right to transfer the User's personal information to third parties in the following cases:
The user may at any time modify, update, supplement or delete the personal information provided to them in the personal account of the Service.
Deletion of the account entails the inability to use the Service.
Service YouScan (Yuskan) takes all necessary and sufficient organizational and technical measures to protect the User's personal information from unauthorized or accidental access, destruction, modification, blocking, copying, distribution, as well as from other illegal actions by third parties. However, we can not guarantee the security of the information provided by the User and strongly recommend that the user take precautions to protect his personal data when working on the Internet, such as choosing a reliable browser, changing passwords frequently, using complex passwords, etc.
